How to Apply – Master


Applications must be submitted online at http://ips.um.edu.my
Applications for research programmes are open throughout the year. Candidate may apply anytime except for programmes with pre-requisite courses. The advertisement for coursework and coursework & research programme for Semester I (September) intake is in January - April and the advertisement for Semester II (February) intake is in May - September.
Programme details will be advertised in the local newspapers and in the University website.


APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Step 1
Kindly complete on-line application form from http://ips.um.edu.my

Step 2
Upload all required document as needed

Step 3
(a) Once all the online procedure is completed, kindly go to “Click To Confirm Application” button to get the complete application form. Please keep the documents for your own record.
(b) You are not allowed to edit your on-line application after pressing “Click To Confirm Application” button.
(c) You may check your application status via on-line from http://pgadmission-status.um.edu.my two months after the date of your application.


PAYMENT OF PROCESSING FEES:-

(a) Malaysian applicants, RM50.00

(b) Foreign applicants, USD60
Fees for Malaysian applicants and Foreign applicants should be paid using Bank Transfer/ Internet Banking or Telegraph Transfer made payable to:

  1. The University of Malaya will not process any incomplete on-line application including those without processing fees.
