What is High Impact Research Grant?

The High Impact Research grants from the University of Malaya are to fund projects which will result in publication of manuscripts in Tier 1 ISI/Web of Science journals. As such, the emphasis will be on fundamental research which will lead to the generation of new knowledge rather than on the development of new products or patents.

Who can apply High Impact Research Grant?

All academic staff, senior research fellows, research fellows, and expatriates attached to the university are eligible to apply.  Post-doctoral researchers must apply in the name of their supervisors or a member of the academic staff.

How do I apply funding through High Impact Research Grant?

Please refer to HIR Website, and click ‘Download’ tab to download an application form, complete the form and send the soft-copy to and hard-copy to HIR Secretariat, Level 1, HIR Building, University of Malaya.

How can I get information on List of Equipment available at HIR Central Labs?
