On June 20, 2022, the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE), Universiti Malaya, inked a new double degree programme agreement with the Adam Smith Business School (ASBS), University of Glasgow (UofG).
Professor Yong Zulina Zubairi, the Associate Vice-Chancellor (International), UM, Professor Robbie Paton, and Dr. Ramona Blanes, on behalf of UofG, formally conclude the signing of the new agreement.
Led by Professor Dr. Yusniza Kamarulzaman of FBE, the agreement with the ASBS is the latest addition to the postgraduate programme of the Faculty of Business and Economics known as the Euro-Asian MBA-MSc.
The programme offers a rigorous and comprehensive general management curriculum from the viewpoints of South East Asian and European academics and practitioners. Students who finish year 1 of the MBA at Universiti Malaya continue to year two at ASBS UofG to complete an MSc programme of their choice, earning an award from both universities upon completion. The programme will be offered to the public starting September 2023 intake.
The agreement represents a return of new international activity in the aftermath of the pandemic. It will add to the University's growing repertoire of international joint programmes, contributing to its vision of becoming "a global university impacting the world".
