Dr. Suresh Sagadevan is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Nanotechnology & Catalysis Research Centre, University of Malaya, Malaysia. With over 15 years of teaching experience, he has been handling diverse subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has supervised more than 10 PhD students and 25 Master's students. He has also served as an external examiner for 25 PhD theses and 10 MSc theses from various national and international universities. In addition, he has acted as an assessor for PhD/MSc programs and academic promotions at several universities. His leadership extends to committee roles in scientific associations, professional bodies, and government agencies, highlights his commitment to academic excellence. Recently he was appointed to the Youth Editorial Board of Advanced Powder Materials (Elsevier publisher; impact factor: 24.9; April 2026–March 2027). Dr. Suresh Sagadevan research focuses on nanofabrication, functional materials, graphene, polymeric nanocomposites, thin films for solar cells, supercapacitors, optoelectronics, photocatalysis, and biosensor applications. Through excellent research performance, he has filed three patents and authored more than 600 Web of Science (WoS)-indexed journal articles, with over 14,000 citations and an h-index of 52. He has contributed 15 international book series as Editor, authored of 8 books and 100 book chapters, and also secured over MYR 3 million in national and international grants from Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, and India. Three of his articles are linked to UN Sustainable Development Goals (Elsevier, 2020–2022), highlighting the real-world impact of his research.
Dr. Suresh Sagadevan consistently ranks among the world's top 2% scientists (2020–2024) in both single and long years and Malaysia's World's Rising Stars of Science (2025). He holds the Highly Ranked Scholar award from GPS Scholar (2024–2025), JSPS Fellowship (Japan, 2023), Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), and Chartered Chemist (CChem, UK). A prolific scholar, Dr. Sagadevan serves as Editor, Guest Editor, and Editorial Board Member for reputed ISI journals, alongside recognized reviewer roles. He is recognized as a Trusted Reviewer (Institute of Physics, UK, 2023), ACS Certificate recipient (2022–2025), and Referee/Panel Member for Fellowships and Proposals (RSC, UK, 2020–2025).
