Eskayvie Sdn Bhd is expanding its research and innovation efforts through a strategic partnership with Universiti Malaya (UM) to conduct clinical trials on Mindtropic, Eskayvie’s cognitive nutrition product.

This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of Mindtropic’s complete formulation across several key aspects, including cognitive performance, stress resilience, autonomic nervous system function, and sleep quality. This move is part of Eskayvie’s efforts to strengthen the scientific foundation of its products, thereby boosting consumer confidence in local health products.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing ceremony took place at the Universiti Malaya Chancellery, with UM represented by its Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Seri Ir Dr Noor Azuan Abu Osman, whilst Eskayvie was represented by its Managing Director, Datin Dr Kartika Wati Mohamed.

Also in attendance were Eskayvie’s Executive Director and Head of Research & Innovation, Datuk Dr Syid Ayob Syid Mustafa Al-Qudri; Eskayvie Ambassador, Datuk Aznil Haji Nawawi; as well as researchers and representatives from both organisations.

According to Datin Dr Kartika, after 17 years of building Eskayvie, the company intends to continuously elevate its product quality by making research a top priority in development and innovation.

“Consumers' trust in Mindtropic drives us to go further in research and innovation. Through this collaboration with Universiti Malaya, we intend to clinically evaluate Mindtropic’s complete formulation to obtain more comprehensive scientific evidence regarding its efficacy.

“For us, this trust comes with the responsibility to consistently prioritise quality, efficacy, and product safety. We hope this partnership will also pave the way for more research and scientific publications in the future,” she said.

The Mindtropic clinical trial will be conducted in collaboration with the Clinical Investigation Centre (CIC) at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), involving a team of UM researchers. The study will be carried out in accordance with approved protocols and established clinical research standards.

Meanwhile, Datuk Dr Syid Ayob explained that the development of Mindtropic takes into account the relationship between cognitive function, stress response, and sleep quality, all of which influence an individual’s mental performance.

“Mindtropic is formulated with a combination of ingredients selected based on their respective functions and scientific rationale. In assessing mental performance, we look not only at focus and memory but also at an individual’s ability to cope with stress and attain quality sleep.

“Each ingredient has its own research foundation. Through this clinical trial, we wish to take a step further by evaluating the efficacy of these combined ingredients as one complete formulation. It is hoped that the findings of this study will serve as the foundation for our future product research and innovation,” he said.

Universiti Malaya, Professor Dato’ Seri Ir Dr Noor Azuan Abu Osman said:

“At Universiti Malaya, we believe that research should not only generate new knowledge but also benefit society. This collaboration with Eskayvie allows us to combine the university’s scientific expertise and research capabilities with industry innovation and needs.

“We hope this clinical trial will produce high-quality scientific evidence, thereby opening doors for the development of health innovations that are more relevant to the needs of the community,” he said.

This partnership is expected to strengthen Mindtropic’s research foundation and pave the way for further studies and scientific publications to support the development of local health products.

This initiative is also a continuation of the establishment of the Eskayvie Research & Innovation Centre, a research and innovation hub focusing on clinical trials, formulation development, public health education, and the exploration of new health technologies. Through this centre, Eskayvie aims to expand collaborations with universities, researchers, and health experts locally and internationally to develop science-based health products and solutions.

“Setiap bahan mempunyai asas penyelidikannya tersendiri.
