In a move to revolutionize the world of academic conferencing, a coalition of four leading universities recently launched the ASEAN International Sandbox Conference (AISC), a unique online platform designed for graduate students and faculty members to present their research in an innovative way, by offering a flexible Anytime and Anywhere concept that eliminates the need for physical conferences and the limitations of submission calendars.
The platform, developed by Universitas Islam Indonesia, Universiti Malaya through the Center for Foundation Studies in Science (PASUM) in Malaysia, Rangsit University in Thailand, and the University of Economics and Business Vietnam National University, applies AI and smart technology to connect researchers to a broad global audience and creates a playground for ideas and innovations that will shape the next generation of international conferences. The submission and review process follows international academic standards, and includes a public and live-streamed Q&A session, creating a more inclusive and engaging experience for presenters and audience.
The annual Oscar Event, the only physical on-site event of the AISC, aims to showcase the most outstanding research in the ASEAN community, providing authors with an opportunity to compete for the ASEAN International Sandbox Award and to present their work to an engaged audience of renowned international academics.
